Car Parking

From Dublin Airport

A Taxi from the airport should cost approximately €30. Approximate driving time to hotel is 25 minutes and distance is 13 kilometers.

Several busses go to the city centre. Recommended are the Airlink 747 and 757 (Adult Single €7.00, Return €12.00 / Child Single €3.00, Return €5.00) Airlink tickets can be bought in the airport at the Bus and Rail information desk, the Dublin Tourism information desk, or on the bus. (See Rambler tickets at Getting Around) Regular busses 41 and 41B (Single aprox. €3.00) direction City Centre are reasonably direct but take longer due to more stops, and the stop for the hotel is around an eight minute walk away. Other busses go to the city centre, but these may take much longer due to their routes and are not advisable.

Dublin Airport has no rail services.

- Return Shuttle service (€9.00)*subject to availability

Getting Around Dublin

On Foot

Many of Dublin’s sights and sounds are in, or close by, the city centre. As everyone is different in their mobility we can only say that some visitors do walk most of it. Tourist maps showing Dublin city centre can be misguiding with respect to the distance, you won’t have to go far... Some destinations just outside the city centre, such as the Guinness Storehouse, may warrant a taxi or bus.

Taxi

A Taxi rank is located directly opposite the hotel at Connolly Station. From the North Star Hotel one can get easily to North or South Dublin destinations. Taxis have meters and upon request they will give you a receipt. Only a few taxis can accept credit or debit card payments, check before getting in.
